Tankless water heater installation in Greenwood
Before we quote a Greenwood tankless install, we look at three things: whether your gas meter and line can feed a unit that burns several times the gas of a 50-gallon tank, where the vent can run (most high-efficiency units vent through PVC and need a condensate drain), and whether there’s an outlet nearby for the unit’s controls.
The standard installed price is $4,499, and anything outside that scope, like a larger gas line, is priced and approved before work starts. See all installed prices.
Is a tankless water heater right for you?
Tankless pays off for households that run out of hot water, want the space a tank takes up, or plan to stay put for years. Units we install come with a 15-year manufacturer’s limited warranty, and a yearly descale keeps them running right.
If you’d rather spend less today, a new tank heater is the lower-cost option. See Greenwood water heater replacement.

Hard water and tankless units in Greenwood
Most of central Indiana has hard water. Citizens Energy Group’s 2025 water quality report estimates typical hardness across the region at about 200 to 425 ppm (12 to 25 grains per gallon). Your utility’s annual water quality report shows the figure for your Greenwood home.
In a tankless unit, those minerals harden into scale on the heat exchanger, which can cause error codes, lukewarm water and shutdowns. A yearly descale keeps it in check. Our Tankless Carefree Plan includes one for $99 a year, and ScaleShot is our citric-acid descaler if you’d rather do it yourself.
